The Flight Dispatch Induction course is a 3 day interactive programme which addresses both the role and working life of Commercial Airline Flight Dispatcher. A Flight Dispatcher is responsible for gathering all relevant data pertinent to a specific departure. A Flight Dispatcher’s role involves a lot of pressure, but it is a career that is hugely rewarding. Making sure aircraft operate on schedule is a vital part of airport life and it is the Flight Dispatcher who takes this responsibility while determining the fuel requirements, load planning and the safe turnaround of an aircraft. A full driving licence is required for employment in this area.
Flight Dispatch role in the operations sector of the aviation industry.
All AOA courses are FAS/DSP approved therefore if you are currently unemployed, the cost of your course may be funded. You will need to speak with your Employment Services Officer, your Social Welfare Job Facilitator or a Community Employment Scheme to apply for funding. You will be given a TESG form which must be completed by both parties i.e. Academy of Aviation and yourself before approval is given. They will decide if you qualify for funding and assist you with the process for application.
A deposit of €75 is required to confirm your place on the course with the balance due one week prior to course commencement.
