ABOUT THE TRAINING 

The Airport Passenger Services Induction course is a 4 day interactive course which addresses both the role and working life of a Passenger Services Agent with tips and advice relating to industry interview to assist you on your journey to success.

Who Should Attend?

Our courses are specifically aimed at individuals wishing to gain employment as Passenger/Customer Services agent, those currently in industry wishing to develop new skills and those currently wishing to change career. Following successful completion of this course, former students are now gainfully employed in Passenger Services, Flight Dispatch, Security and Ramp Services positions.

  • 4 Day Passenger Services Induction Course - €325. 

A deposit of €75 is required to confirm your place on the course with the balance due one week prior to course commencement.

  • All AOA courses are FAS/DSP approved therefore if you are currently unemployed, the cost of your course may be funded. You will need to speak with your Employment Services Officer, your Social Welfare Job Facilitator or a Community Employment Scheme to apply for funding. You will be given a TESG form which must be completed by both parties i.e. Academy of Aviation and yourself before approval is given. They will decide if you qualify for funding and assist you with the process for application.

About the Training

The Cabin Crew Induction course is a 4 day interactive course which addresses both the role and working life of a Flight Attendant. The training includes a combination of both theoretical and practical components with the latter taking place in our simulated Airbus A320 cabin mock-up. Using  the cabin mock-up ensures the most realistic learning conditions and ensures our students are confident and capable of delivering a first class service. There are tips and advice relating to industry grooming and interview to assist you on your journey to success.

Cabin crewAll courses are conducted at our training facility in The Carlton Hotel, Dublin Airport which includes a cabin mock-up of an Airbus A320 simulator enabling practical safety and service training to be conducted on-site.

  • 4 Day Cabin Crew Induction Course - €395.

A deposit of €95 is required to confirm your place on the course with the balance due one week prior to course commencement.
The cabin crew fee also includes an AOA uniform scarf for females or tie for males.

The Flight Dispatch Induction course is a 4 day interactive programme which addresses both the role and working life of Commercial Airline Flight Dispatcher. A Flight Dispatcher is responsible for gathering all relevant data pertinent to a specific departure. A Flight Dispatcher’s role involves a lot of pressure, but it is a career that is hugely rewarding. Making sure aircraft operate on schedule is a vital part of airport life and it is the Flight Dispatcher who takes this responsibility while determining the fuel requirements, load planning and the safe turnaround of an aircraft.

A Ramp Agent/Baggage Handler is responsible for the loading/unloading of baggage and cargo, aircraft marshalling, aircraft servicing, pushback, towing and de-icing duties. A Ramp Agent’s role is varied, exciting and hugely rewarding. Making sure aircraft operate on schedule is a vital part of airport life and it is the combination of all operational aspects including ramp services that ensure a safe and timely turnaround of an aircraft.
